I’m Kharis Eppstein and I’m running for City Auditor to ensure Denver’s independent watchdog keeps government effective, and that our tax dollars are spent wisely, transparently, and for the public good.
When waste or inefficiency shows up, my role as Auditor will be to shine a light and demand accountability.

Establish a fraud, waste, and abuse investigation team within the office.
Ensure that Denver Labor continues protecting workers and is fair, trusted, and accountable.

The Auditor operates independently of the mayor's office and city council to provide an objective "watchdog" function.
The office performs financial and performance audits of city departments and agencies to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency, scrutinizing things like city contracts, technology systems, and program effectiveness.
The auditor is elected by the people and answers directly to them, not the mayor or the city council.
